"it is no sign of good health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society"

Pity the man living for others

sorrow among the faceless crowd
sorrow among the faceless crowd

Norms turned sacred

Abide by the shifting scriptures

May your mind rest easy now

Exilement or conformity; where inauthenticity is safety

Be yourself!

A childish notion really

Society couldn't allow this

Present yourself as the best option

Knowing you’re not

Self preservation knows not of right and wrong

Only a meticulous craft for inflation of the self

Dare to proceed with truth?

A clouded consensus is immortal

Challenge it and be labeled as ill

And ridiculed for good measure

I pity the man living for others

Passions lost, dreams ruptured

All for acceptance into the norm

Normal produces normal

Not the unacceptable revolution

Attempting to cross the gates of acceptance
